BOULDER COUNTY SHERIFF- On Wednesday, June 15th, about 10:00, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, along with personnel from Boulder Fire, American Medical Response (Ambulance), Rocky Mountain Rescue Group and Boulder City Mountain Parks and Open Space, responded to the report of a stuck climber on the first Flatiron.
Upon arrival, rescue personnel immediately entered the field to locate the party. The party, a juvenile male, was located off the 1st/2nd Flatiron Trail, on a rock ledge, about 50’ up the hill side. He was uninjured, but needed assistance with a technical rescue to get safely back on the trail. He was able to walk out on his own. The name of the involved person is not being released due to his age.
