Rescue of Injured Camper from Cal-Wood Education Center

A 12 year-old girl was rescued after a
fall while hiking
Boulder County, Colo.--
On August 25,
2015, Boulder County Communications was notified of an injured hiker on the
Cal-Wood Ranch property, 2282County Road 87, North of Jamestown in Boulder
County. A 12 year-old camper was hiking in the area and fell while traversing a
talus slope. A talus slope is an area on the side of the mountain where debris,
such as rocks of different sizes, piles up.
fell injuring her shoulder, elbow, and face. She was removed from the area by
American Medical Response (AMR) Ambulance with the assistance of Lefthand Fire
Protection District and the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services and Cal-Wood
Education Center staff.
