Structure Fire

722 Caribou Road, Boulder County

Boulder County, Colo. --On 10/29/2016, at approximately 3:00am, Boulder County Communications received information of a possible structure fire in the area of 722 Caribou Road, in unincorporated Boulder County. A Nederland police officer was the first to arrive on scene, and found an out building on fire.

Fire personnel from Nederland Fire Protection District, Sugarloaf Fire Protection District, Timberline Fire Protection District, along with paramedics from AMR, and deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office arrived on scene to extinguish the fire.

At this time, nothing appears suspicious in nature, and the fire appears to have been caused by ashes from a fireplace dumped into a compost pile. However once daylight comes, member of MAFIT (the Multi Agency Fire Investigation Team) of Boulder County, will examine the scene more closely to determine cause and origin.

Besides the damaged building, a few cars inside were also destroyed.
