Structure Fire

Two people and their pet displaced after their home burns

Boulder County, Colo. - At approximately 5:02 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015 Boulder Communications received a 911 call to a residence in the 8000 block of Rye Court on the report of a structure fire. The fire appears to have started in or near the garage. The garage, two cars parked in the garage and the residence itself were all damaged. The fire had also spread to the attic of the residence before it was extinguished by the responding fire crews. No one was injured. Emergency crews on scene included: the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, American Medical Response (AMR), and members from the Mountain View and Boulder Rural Fire Protection Districts. Investigators from the Multi Agency Fire Investigation Team (MAFIT) responded to investigate the fire and will continue their investigation tomorrow to determine the cause and origin of the fire.

The American Red Cross responded to assist with possibly sheltering the two people that live at the residence.
