On June 26th, 2016, at approximately 1331 hours, Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District, Louisville Fire Department, Lafayette Fire Department, Boulder Rural Fire, Boulder Fire Department, Boulder Mountain Fire Department, Boulder Emergency Squad, Boulder County Sheriff's Office, Boulder County Animal Control, and Boulder County Sheriff's Office Emergency Services responded to the 4700 block of Eldorado Springs Drive in unincorporated Boulder County, Colorado on the report of a structure fire.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel found a single family home fully engulfed in flames. It was quickly determined no one was home at the time of the fire. But, the family dog was inside the home. Efforts to revive the pet were unsuccessful and, unfortunately, the dog succumbed to the smoke.
Investigators with the Multi Agency Fire Investigation Team (MAFIT) were called to scene. The investigation is currently on going and the cause of the fire is unknown.
