Suspicious male reported at Eldorado K-8 School

Boulder County, Colo. - Today at 12:48 p.m. the Eldorado K-8 School, located at 3351 South Indiana Street in Superior, was placed in "lockout" due to a report of a suspicious male in the area of the school. All students and staff are safe.

Boulder County Sheriff's Office deputies set up a perimeter around the school and searched the area. No suspect was located. We will continue to investigate the incident and will work with the Boulder Valley School District security staff and school administration.

During a school lockout the perceived danger is outside of the school. School administrators move all students and activities inside and ensure the building’s perimeter is secured.

At this time we do not believe that there is any threat to students or staff at the school. The school lockout ended at 2:22 p.m.

The case number for this incident is 15-0480.
