Unattended Death

Saddlebrook Apartment Complex--Superior, CO

Boulder County, Colo. --On December 29, 2016 at approximately 4:45pm, Boulder County Dispatch received a call from an out of state mother, concerned about her 44 year old son, who resides in the Saddlebrook Apartment Complex, in the Town of Superior, Colorado. She had not heard from him for a couple of days, which was unusual behavior for him. Concerned about his well-being, due to numerous medical issues he has been dealing with, she asked that deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office (which provides police services for the Town of Superior), check on him.

Not receiving an answer at the door, and after numerous attempts at contacting him, deputies were able to make entry into his apartment and found him deceased. Detectives from the Sheriff's Office, along with investigators from the Boulder County Coroner's Office investigated the death on scene. At this time the death appears to have been from natural causes.

The name of the decedent is not being released until notifications to his next of kin can be completed. The Coroner's Office will release his name, along with an official ruling on cause and manner of death, at a later date.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office case number for this investigation is 16-7904.
