Boulder County, Colo. -- Parks & Open Space Staff will host an open house on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), sometimes referred as unmanned aircraft vehicles (UAV) or drones. Presentations will be given by the University of Colorado's Research and Engineering Center for Unmanned Vehicles, UASUSA, and Agribotix. Presenters will describe their current use of UAS, the value of UAS for data collection, and why they use them for their research and business programs.

Staff will provide a brief introductory presentation at 6:15 p.m. and be available to discuss the department’s proposed UAS policy after the presentations. The public is invited to ask questions and provide comments.
