Update: Attempted murder in Lefthand Canyon
Identifying information being released on juvenile suspect
The Boulder County Sheriff's Office has received a court order allowing the release of information on the juvenile wanted for Attempted 1st Degree Murder and 1st Degree Assault to an At-Risk adult.
The juvenile suspect is being identified as Jeffrey Collins, date of birth June 29, 2000. His picture is attached to this media advisory.
The court is allowing for the release of the juvenile information because he is at large and considered dangerous. He is also likely to be filed as an adult into district court upon his apprehension. Juvenile records are confidential, however, upon court order certain law enforcement records may be made public including identifying information.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Collins is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency. If anyone has information, but would like to remain anonymous,
