Update on the human remains search at Eldora Mountain Ski Resort

The search for additional human remains at Eldora Mountain Ski Resort has concluded with no additional remains or evidence located

Eldora, Colo. - At 5:00 p.m. today the search efforts at Eldora Mountain Ski Resort concluded. No additional human remains or evidence was located during today's search. Today's search covered approximately 180 acres, including eight miles of Nordic trials searched by horseback.

Today's search covered all areas of the ski resort grounds that were not covered by snow. As a result additional search efforts will not be undertaken until the snow pack dissipates. The sheriff's Emergency Services Unit will monitor the snow pack at the resort and will undertake further search efforts when the snow has sufficiently melted.

Despite the conclusion of the search effort, sheriff's investigators will continue to work in conjunction with the Boulder County Coroner's Office to determine who the boot and the human remains belong to.
