Notice of Valuation for 2017/2018 Tax Years

2017 NOVs were sent to property owners in Boulder County on May 1, 2017. The full page NOVs for residential properties contain:

Notice of Valuation for 2018 Intervening Tax Year

For most properties, 2018 taxable value will remain the same as that of 2017, as reflected on the 2017 NOV owners receive by mail in May 2017. Property owners will receive a 2018 Notice of Value only if there was some change to the property from 2017. For these properties, the Assessor’s Office must value your property as it existed on January 1, 2018, and determine its probable market value as of June 30, 2016.

The market comparison grid and photos on the NOV help clarify the assessment process. This market comparison is the basis for your property value for the 2017 and 2018 tax years.
