From miner’s cabins to turn of the century farming complexes, Boulder County values our historic resources. Only the owners of these resources can apply to have them designated as historic places/landmarks (see Historic Preservation Designation FAQs), and doing so can lead to these structures qualifying for the Historic Landmark Rehabilitation Grant Program. The Boulder County Historic Preservation Advisory Board makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on which resources pass muster.
Due to COVID-19, the Community Planning & Permitting Department is conducting business and providing services virtually. Our physical office in Boulder is currently CLOSED to the public.
