The planning or development review processes through the Community Planning & Permitting Department are necessary to achieve a number of goals, including ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens while at the same time protecting the rights of property owners. The Community Planning & Permitting Department physical office in Boulder is now open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Tuesdays the department is open by appointment only from 12:30–4:30 p.m. Most services are available virtually in addition to in-person services. To view a specific development application, search for the application number, such as “SPR-17-1234” which designates a Site Plan Review (SPR) application submitted in 2017.
