Medical Reserve Corps Members in Action
MRC members work hard and have a lot of fun while they’re at it. Below are some highlights from exercises, trainings, and events from recent years.
Building Bridges With the FBI
Boulder County MRC members participated in an exercise focused on potential roles in small group discussions about complex scenarios. Learn more on page four of the Spring 2012 edition of the National MRC Newsletter.
Peas in a Pod Exercise
April 24th, 2012, Boulder County Public Health, BCMRC and hospital staff from Boulder County Health and Medical Response (HAMR) group worked to organize the county’s medical supplies cache into ‘pods’ so that we now have all the supplies needed for each ward or ‘pod’ at an Alternative Care Site (ACS) in one self-contained unit. A crew from the Boulder County Jail assisted with emptying and reloading the supply trailers. The trailers also contain supplies that could be used to assist access and functional needs clients at an evacuation site or general population shelter.
