The Nutrition Program of Boulder County Area Agency on Aging promotes eating well for health, longevity, and quality of life. Getting the right nutrients and fresh, quality food is an important component in preventing and managing chronic diseases that older adults may experience. Our nutrition programs provide education, counseling and support to older adults and their caregivers to assist in them with their healthy living goals.
|Duties and Responsibilities:||
Becoming Volunteer Driver for Boulder County Area Agency on Aging’s (BCAAA) Nutrition Program is a great way to promote the health and wellness of older adults in our community, and support local farms!
BCAAA is able to fund Community Sustainable Agriculture (CSA) shares through a grant from LiveWell Colorado. CSAs are boxes of produce from local farms. Volunteer Drivers are needed to pick up these CSA boxes and deliver them to various locations throughout Boulder County, including Boulder, Lafayette, and Nederland.
This program runs June through October, and deliveries are made Saturdays. Farm is in Lyons, and you can sign up for one or more shifts!
