Program Summary:

The Casa de la Esperanza program was started in June 1994 to provide the immigrant families of this community with on-site opportunities for successful integration and self-sufficiency in the community at large. The program’s mission is to provide academic support, recreational and enrichment opportunities to the farm worker families and other Longmont residents. This will allow them access and boundless success by promoting education attainment, higher education, and skills towards greater self-sufficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Help unload and distribute food for 50 families.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Ability to lift 25-pound boxes, bend and stand during the shift

Training Dates and Information:

Must be available the first and third Tuesday of every month from 1-3pm. Must be available to volunteer for at least 80% of the following dates; March 17th, April 7th and 21st, May 5th and 19th, June 2nd and 16th, July 7th and 21st, August 4th and 18th, September 1st and 15th, October 6th and 20th, November 2nd and 17th, December 1st and 15th.
