Weed Pull

Project Date: Sun, August 13, 2017 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Opportunity Type: One-Time Volunteer Opportunity
Department: Parks & Open Space
Category: Open Space, Environment, and Gardening
Location:

Ron Stewart Parks & Open Space Building, Longmont

Program Summary:

Please join us for an exciting weed pull project designed to enhance growth of Colorado’s native plants. Volunteers will use weed wrenches to remove locust trees from a flood zone that we are currently trying to rehabilitate. These trees do have thorns so long sleeve shirts and pants are recommended.

Volunteers will be shuttled to the project site, so make sure to register to ensure a spot in a vehicle. This project is from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and the minimum age is 12 with adult supervision.
