Program Summary: | Share your passion for working with older adults by becoming a trained leader of evidence-based programs. Experience in the healthcare field is not required. Workshops are designed to be co-led by volunteers who are interested in wellness and enjoy working with people. Workshop topics include: chronic disease self-management, fall prevention for older adults and exercises for frail and home-bound seniors. Trained volunteers are asked to teach two workshop series within one year of completing training. |
Duties and Responsibilities: | Must successfully complete training, prepare for classes, and able to work cooperatively with co-leader. Must be at least 21 to apply. |
Qualifications and Requirements: | Interest in health and wellness. Enjoy working with older adults. Be dependable, reliable, motivating, patient, and enthusiastic. Volunteers must pass a criminal background check. |
