Parks & Open Space Advisory Committee

The Parks & Open Space Advisory Committee (POSAC) reviews proposals and advises Parks & Open Space staff and the County Commissioners on open space issues, new land acquisitions, and the management of existing properties.

Regular Meetings

POSAC usually meets on the fourth Thursday of each month starting at 6:30 p.m. Due to COVID-19, meetings are held virtually.

Thursday, Nov. 19, at 6:30 p.m.
Agenda, registration, and YouTube link will be posted approximately one week before the meeting.

How To Participate

Watch The Meeting: Regular meetings are streamed live on YouTube and can be watched shortly after the meeting ends.

Speak Live During The Meeting: Members of the public can register to speak live during the meeting on certain agenda items. Speakers will be required to join the Zoom Webinar and will be asked to speak at the end of the corresponding agenda item. Each speaker will have a maximum of five minutes per item. Speakers will not be able to share their camera or screen (i.e. audio only) but can request that up to two pages of illustrative images (graphs, photos, maps) be displayed during their comments. Files must be sent to the POSAC coordinator at least 24 hours before the meeting.

Registration will open approximately one week before the meeting. For alternate accommodations to participate in public comment, please email the POSAC coordinator.

In cases where a large number of comments are expected, speakers may be limited to three minutes or another time limitation if appropriate. Pooling of speaker time will be permitted at the discretion of the chair. All speakers wishing to pool their time must be signed up for and present at the meeting. Time allotted for pooled speakers will be determined by the chair, not to exceed a total of ten minutes. Speakers will be requested not to repeat statements made by previous speakers other than to express points of agreement or disagreement.

It is Boulder County policy to make county programs, meetings, activities, and services accessible to individuals with disabilities, according to the Americans with Disabilities Act.
