The Boulder County Recording Division - Online/phone services available only (no in-person services)

  • To limit the overall number of individuals in our Boulder office for our elections and motor vehicle divisions, the recording division will remain closed to the public.
  • Staff will respond to email and phone inquires and can assist with recording needs that can happen online, such as recording a document, searching records, etc.
  • Marriage licenses are being issued via online video appointment. See details.

A copy of a military record may be requested by completing a DD 214 Form . The form must be notarized.

A form may be notarized by the Recording Division if the transaction is completed at the office.

Military records will only be provided to the following:

  • Veteran listed
  • Next-of-kin of a deceased veteran

Requests may also be made by mail or by visiting a Recording Division office.
