Dead Animal Removal

Dead Animal Removal

Boulder County Road Maintenance provides limited animal carcass removal service. Large (deer-sized) animal carcasses will be removed from the roadway during normal operating hours. Due to the expense of dispatching crews for this type of activity, only large animal remains that may cause a traffic hazard are picked up.

The Road Maintenance Division requests that residents handle the removal of small animal remains and other trash in their neighborhood by placing them in plastic bags and disposing of them with household trash.

Property owners are responsible for all animal remains located on private property.
