Health Coverage

Everyone needs health care, including regular visits to a doctor.

From regular check-ups to medical emergencies, having health insurance can help you face medical challenges as well as get the routine care you need. Regular care covered by health insurance can help reduce the chance that you’ll get sick in the first place.

How can I get help with my medical bills and visits to the doctor and dentist?

  • Health Insurance Assistance is available to help you get free or lower-cost health insurance. The Boulder County Assistance Site has health coverage guides to help residents get health insurance through the Connect for Health Colorado marketplace.
  • Healthy Kids and Adults helps families, children, and pregnant women enroll in Medicaid and CHP+. Staff are located at county offices, Boulder Valley School District, St. Vrain Valley School District, Clinica Family Health Services in Boulder, and Salud Family Health Centers in Longmont.
  • Medicare Savings Program (MSP) may help pay for Medicare Part A or Part B premiums. It can also help cover deductible, coinsurance, and copayments for people who have Medicare Part A, meet certain income limits, and who have limited resources.
