Boulder County Recording Division Information Concerning COVID-19

Boulder County Recording is urging residents to use online services and will be restricting in-person services to only transactions that cannot be done online, over the phone, or by email.

While we have staff shortages due to school closures, we will be staffing our phone lines and email and will do our best to respond in a timely fashion. Our normal hours of operation will be in effect: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (subject to change).


  • No services in Longmont/Lafayette.
  • Boulder office will only issue marriage licenses as our in-person service.
  • All other recording services, such as recording a document, searching records, etc. will be handled over the phone and by email. Call our office for assistance: 303-413-7770.

The Recording Division of the Clerk & Recorder’s office provides document types, recording information, grantor and grantee names and legal descriptions (when available) in our website for public access. Online access to images from our records is only available with a paid subscription.

Search and purchase copies for the following documents recorded by the Recording Division*:

  • Amendments/ratifications
  • Assignments
  • Covenants
  • Deeds
  • Foreclosure documents
  • Liens
  • Marriage licenses and civil union licenses
  • Mining claims
  • Plats and maps
  • UCCs

To purchase a copy of a document online, click on the “Search Public Records” button below, login as guest, find the document you are looking for and click on the print icon.

*Note: Additional public records, not related to real estate records, are available through the: Commissioners’ Meetings and Video Archives.
