Medical Reserve Corps

During this time of emergency response to COVID-19, clinical volunteers are urgently needed. To volunteer in a clinical capacity, please complete the Medical Reserve Corps application form.

The Medical Reserve Corps of Boulder County (MRCBC) works to establish teams of trained, local volunteer medical, public health, and safety professionals who can contribute their skills and expertise during times of community and national need.

You Can Volunteer

There are current volunteer opportunities for clinical or nonclinical positions.

MRCBC volunteers currently represent various health care occupations including:

  • Physicians
  • Physicians Assistants
  • Nurse Practitioners
  • Registered Nurses, LPNs, Nurse Aides
  • Emergency Medical Technician
  • Non-clinical volunteers who are essential to response activities

MRCBC utilizes medical and health care professionals from all health occupations, including those who are active, practicing, retired, or non-practicing.

Medical Reserve Corps Activities

Medical Reserve Corps volunteers support public health activities in the event of disasters including floods, fires, pandemics, and other events that require an exceptional medical response.

Potential Volunteer Roles During an Emergency Include

  • Medical Screener
  • Mental Health Consultant
  • Health Educator
  • Support & Technical Staff
  • Dispensing medications or vaccines
  • Triaging & assessing affected community members
  • Assisting evacuees with medical needs
  • Supporting and supplementing hospital staff in surges and evacuations
