Public Health Order Closes Restaurants & Bars

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment issued a public health order to close bars, restaurants, gyms, theaters, and casinos to slow the spread of COVID-19. Facilities may continue to serve carry out, window service, and delivery.

Plan Reviews & Owner Change Applications

Owner Change and Plan Review Applications can be submitted electronically. These service requests are currently being processed within the usual timeline (14 business days). Onsite construction inspections will be suspended. Operators should be encouraged to contact us with any questions they have and to talk through any situations they encounter. Opening inspections will be conducted through discussions and photos and/or video. Onsite inspections will not be performed.

We will continue to accept food service complaints over the phone and through the website. If needed, please leave a message with your callback information so one of our inspectors can reach out.

Scam Alert for Restaurant Owners

Some restaurant owners have reported receiving a call from someone claiming to be a health inspector. The caller reportedly said an inspection needed to be scheduled and asked for a credit card payment. This is a scam and is not coming from local or state health officials. If you get a similar call, please report it to 303-692-3645 ext #1.
