The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment issued guidance for restaurants to open while minimizing the spread of COVID-19. Review the most recent guidance:
Owner Change and Plan Review Applications can be submitted electronically. These service requests are currently being processed within the usual timeline (14 business days). Onsite construction inspections will be suspended. Operators should be encouraged to contact us with any questions they have and to talk through any situations they encounter. Opening inspections will be conducted through discussions and photos and/or video. Onsite inspections will not be performed.
We will continue to accept food service complaints over the phone and through the website. If needed, please leave a message with your callback information so one of our inspectors can reach out.
The management and staff at Brasserie Ten Ten at 1011 Walnut St. in Boulder are very knowledgeable on food safety.
The Dairy Queen at 3265 28th St. does a great job of preventing bare hand contact by following proper food handling procedures.
The IHOP at 1675 28th St. in Boulder has written food safety policies in place at their facilities.
The managers of Moe’s Bagels at 2650 Broadway St. are very knowledgeable on proper food safety practices.
The Post Brewing at 1258 S. Hover St. in Longmont provides food safety training to their employees.
Roxie’s Tacos at 1135 Broadway St. does a good job of maintaining proper food safety temperatures of their food items.
The Safeway store at 4800 Baseline Rd. in Boulder does an extremely good job of training their employees on food safety.
Some restaurant owners have reported receiving a call from someone claiming to be a health inspector. The caller reportedly said an inspection needed to be scheduled and asked for a credit card payment. This is a scam and is not coming from local or state health officials. If you get a similar call, please report it to 303-692-3645 ext #1.
